This picture is taken from a friend of our group and shows the "sidewalk" outside the "ministry of education" right in the centre of Athens (yes, that kind of "education"!)

And this is the "sidewalk" right in front of "ministry of culture" next to Klafthmonos square (of course, you have already guessed what kind of "culture")

If you were a motorcycle user, and you saw these motorcycles on the sidewalk just outside any police precinct (like this one on Kalindromiou street in the centre of Athens), what behaviour towards pedestrian spaces would you think you would be inclined to adopt?

...where the law and justice is supposed to be applied. 

They constitute (like these two traffic policemen right outside the entrance of the courts area, joyfully and indifferently chatting among mass pedestrian rights violations) a quite successful symbolism as to how law and justice are applied in modern Greece, when comes to the protection of the more weak and less privileged citizens, like pedestrians are.
